Johnny Boy

We were told growing up that playing videos could never create the kind of living another career, or job could.

Well as the world changed, so did it’s view on video games; and the people that played them. Over the years outlets such as YouTube, and Twitch have helped the gaming community make a living out of what they are passionate about too.

I have known John Henry for most of my life, and we have been playing video games with each other as long as I can remember. He has always had a natural talent to be great at any game he plays.

That love for video games, and passion to create has led him down a similar path as me.

Henry started his channel long before I did, and he was also a key factor in me starting my journey with YouTube. He streams games that he likes to play, and sometimes plays with the people that are watching his stream.

I remember over this past summer John and I played NBA 2k17 with subscriber of his, and went on a 6 game win streak. It was a fun and entertaining time. John kept the attention of his subscriber, and made sure he was involved in all things we were doing.

The viewer got a chance to hang with a couple of our friends, and got the full JohnJohnj56 experience.

I’m usually in a xbox live party with John while he is streaming, and how he treats his viewers is also another quality I admire. He doesn’t take a single one for granted, and always appreciates anything his subscribers do for him.

John had always joked that he would make money off video games, but deep down he and I knew he could make it happen. His love for what he does makes it so that he can’t do anything but succeed.

I love when my friends follow their dreams, and  are succeeding in what makes them happy.

A Dreamers Review

Photography is something that I have always been interested in. Reading Jansen’s post on his journey as a photographer, and the things he is doing with those skills has furthered my resolve to begin my amateur photography career. When we find a passion in life we have to follow it no matter the cost. I feel it is very important to help others follow their passions as well. We all don’t have the same support system, and ability to thrive.

This is what I feel Jansen is trying to do with his Tuesday Photo Challenge. He is attempting to get a lot of people involved with photography. Even if that wasn’t his plan he is helping a lot of people discover  a passion they never knew they had. He is interacting with a variety of people, because of something they all enjoy doing. If you would like to get involved with Jansen, and his Tuesday Photo Challenge here are the rules. More information can be found on his actual blog post.

The full rules of this challenge are in TPC Guidelines, but here’s the tl;dr:

  • Write a post with an image for this week’s topic
  • Please tag your post with fpj-photo-challenge (if you’re not sure about how tags work, please check out this WordPress article about tagging posts)
  • Create a pingback link to this post, so that I can create a post showing all of the submissions over the week (note: pingbacks may not appear immediately, as my site is set up to require approval for linking to it; helps against previous bad experiences with spamming)
  • Have fun creating something new (or sharing something old)!!

Jansen mixes up his photo challenges by changing the topic. Music was the focal point of another one of his Tuesday Photo Challenges. I like the fact he is being versatile with the things he decides to photograph, and does it in an original way.

Fuego Sounds Podcast

Motivation comes from all sorts of places. It can come from the strangest of places, or some place all to familiar.

Fuego🔥

My motivation to create a YouTube channel actually came from a podcast. Xavier McNeil is a student that attends Drake University, and also the creator of FuegoSounds Podcast.

When my cousin told me he started a podcast it lit a fire under me to turn my ideas into reality.

He is an enormous reason my channel is existing right now, but enough about my stuff.
FuegoSounds is the real reason we are here right now. As an attempt to express himself creatively through music, but lacking the know how the podcast was instead created.

“I wanted to do something worth doing while in college.”

Meet Xavier McNeil himself

We all want to leave our stamp on the world. We do this while in college and further on in life. It is a great opportunity we all have while still in college.

We have a lot more free time to work on projects that we may be passionate about. Xavier and I also talked about something similar awhile back.

He explained to me that we should take advantage of our time in college. I feel as college students we are in the middle of the real world, and a relaxed sort of life.

These are crucial moments which should not be taken for granted. Xavier has taken a couple of steps in the right direction. FuegoSounds is about an hour of underground artists, and some known artists music.

Xavier introduces the music as well as entertaining the viewers. New artist are always looking for more platforms to promote their work. This is what he had in mind when he was in the process of creating his podcast.

He wanted to give himself, and others up-in-coming another platform in which you can promote your craft.

With so much music out in the world there is a high demand for a means to promote it.
The diversity of the music this podcast offers is what sets it apart. The overall energy that the host brings is what makes it stand out.

The brand that McNeil is building has been up and running for a full year now.
Through hard work and dedication he started this from the ground up.

Working three jobs at one point just to buy all the equipment. FuegoSounds Podcast did not appear out of nowhere; this is the manifestation of hours of endless work on Xavier’s part.

Come One Come All

Where I started…

My name is Alexander McNeil, and I am a Mass Comm. Electronic Media student at Texas State University.

This blog is really an outlet for anyone in the music, youtube, cinema, anime field. For those with dream, and the will to chase it.

There are multiple ways to enjoy life. We just have to find the best way the suits us. Writing music, and creating a YouTube channel have been some of the things that’ve helped me enjoy life in a different way. Being able to help someone in the same way would be a blessing.

I know it is hard to find a platform for people get there content noticed at a higher rate, so this is also a reason for making the blog.

I would like a place for like-minded people to gather and view each others work. I hope to explore the growth, and development of all the young people we will see in the future.

The actual process of their dreams look like. If you ever see anything you’re interested in I would love to hear your opinion.

I’m looking to interact with all kinds of people; with different kinds of interest. I have seen how other viewpoints can change our outlook on certain topics.

Being able to talk to different people will open your mind up to new possibilities, and new things going on in the world.

Connecting with others is a great way to broaden our horizons. Hip-hop has always been a big influence in my life, as well as anime. Those two completely different styles of art have been known to mix in order to create something brilliant.

Wu-Tang-Clan and Samurai Champloo are a great example of how the two cultures can coexist. One a hip-hop group one an anime, but both pay homage to each others’ culture.
